About us

Our story began in 2020 when we met Adam Kuthan, a 10 year old boy who fell in love with a special bicycle from the non-profit organization Černí koně.

Adam was a healthy, active boy until he was three years old. Then, the doctors found out he had a tumor on the brain stem. Unfortunately, the surgery couldn’t be done without consequences – damaged speech, sight, movement coordination and balance.  Adam’s mother had to carry him home like a rag doll. They had been waiting for a change for 7 long years. Then, Adam tried out a handbike from Černí koně at the rehabilitation center. He fell in love with it and Adam’s new, beautiful journey through life began. Life on a bike. It was Adam’s big dream at the time, that he needed to start training for. Since then Adam never gives up, he pursues his dream every day.

After three years with a children’s handbike, it was clear that if Adam wanted to continue, he need a new one. Fate brought Adam into our path, and the Kolo pro ADAMA challenge arose.  The aim was to help one disabled boy from the Moravian town of Bukovany. We wanter to collect the money for his dream bike. 

What started with one single aim that quickly turned into an even bigger event thanks to the support of public and your generosity. We were not only able to help Adam, but many other kids.

Adam is no longer just the boy we “helped”.  Adam is the face of the challenge, a role model not only for other children, but also for us.  He is an athlete with a heart of a warrior and a determination that not everyone has.

So, what is Kolo pro ADAMA?

We are a group of friends, volunteers and enthusiasts who support disabled children and the non-profit organization Černí koně. We are not entitled to any financial rewards for the activities and work that we do. We do everything voluntarily and selflessly in order to help those, who need it. Thanks to this rule, we can say that 100 % of financial contributions and donations from any of you go directly to the Černí koně organization, which will then make bicycles for children. 

We know the story of each of our kids and we are happy to be in long-term contact with them and their families. Our goal is not quantity, but quality.

The principle of the challenge has proved its worth and has been retained.

Martin, Adam and a group of friends that was created thanks to the challenge, always decide to do sports (cycling) for a few days in the summer, share their sports performances and experiences with the public, try to lead by example, and inspire everyone to move and do good deeds. 

Really everyone is welcome to join our challenge.  

All you have to do is ride a bike, run or, for example, “just” walk.  All you have to do is report your activities on our website and our partners will reward your kilometers with a financial contribution to the fund for the manufacture of new children’s bikes from Černí koně. The fund is public and can be donated to at any time, not only during the challenge. It’s really easy so you can also decide to donate on your own.

The principles of Kolo pro ADAMA

• We are not and do not want to be a legal entity in any form, such as a non-profit organization

• We are a group of volunteers that supports the non-profit organization Černí koně z.s.

• We organize a sports challenge in which any of you can participate

• We work on Kolo pro ADAMA without the right to financial rewards

• We guarantee that 100 % of the financial contributions are used for the manufacture of special bicycles for children

• Fans, participants, partners and supporters of the challenge always know who the final beneficiaries of their support are

• We try to lead by example – to help people in need and to show that really little is enough and miracles can take place
